Psychoeducational assessment

Psychoeducational assessment
Many times parents feel that while studying, a child is working very hard but during the exam, he/she is unable to perform at the same level as the hard work has been put in.
Or a school may refer a child for getting an evaluation done, as the classroom performance is not at par with the other children. A psychoeducational assessment is then recommended.
Psychoeducational Assessment is a process of evaluating the skills of a child in academics and day to day life using standardised tests, such as the NIMHANS Battery, WISC -IV , the NIPCCD Battery etc.
An RCI Registered practitioner conducts this evaluation.
A report is then generated which is accepted by CBSE and other school boards.
As per the latest disability guidelines this assessment is possible after class 3.
